College Internship

Majors Desired: Education, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Music, Media, Performing Arts, Psychology

 

Responsibilities: The semester-long internship involves the following skills.  Adjustments will be tailored to create the most relevant experience for the Student.  Due to time restraints and associated majors, eligible students DO NOT have to participate in all of the following activities.  The following is an abbreviated list:

  • Attend bi-monthly supervisory meetings with the Internship Supervisor.

  • Make telephone calls on behalf of the company to provide information on the company and gain support

  • Attend social gatherings and dinners with company employees (if desired).

  • Attend community events on behalf of the company, including but not limited to: fashion shows, concerts,   plays, poetry events, operas, and ballets (if desired).

  • Obtain knowledge of organizations serving youth in the arenas of Education, Development, and the Arts

  • All interns will have a required deliverable as a final project to turn in, outlining the course of their involve- ment and discussing the implications of this internship in their own future.

  • All functions attended by interns on behalf of Divine America will be paid for on the behalf of the company.

  • If desired, the internship can provide pay on a commission basis for product sales or other activities.
